So adaptation-perfect (sans censoring gore) that I really don’t know what to talk about. But I will anyway.

So we’re finally introduced to Alice, voiced by Taketatsu Ayana (Azusa from K-on!, Ako from kissxsis). Because of these recent roles, I’ve started to grow found simply for the fact that my nutbladder explodes when I hear her talk. That said, she really can’t fake cry; both times Alice was crying about her dad, my sympathy for her situation got knocked back when her mouth opened. Both times (hell, one more when she starts screaming “Noooo” at zombies) sound exactly the same in terms of HOW she cries (if that makes any sense), I wonder if Taketatsu really doesn’t have crying down or just isn’t trying too hard. Luckily, Alice only cries one more time during the series, so other than that, Alice sounds like I expected her to.

That damn dog…

While we’re on the acting thing, this dog’s barking sorta annoys me too. I expected a more generic dog audio track, or at least a manlier sounding one.

So nice, they had to show it twice.

Oh, holy hell did they turn the fanservice up to 11, even for HOTD standards, this is the most times I’ve seen it turn up that I had trouble deciding on an opening picture to use. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember the original Hirano having tits in his face/on his head for 1/4 of the episode/chapter; guess he deserves it, considering how shafted he gets later on. Come to think of it, I don’t remember Shizuka being completely nude for half the episode/chapter either, but it’s Shizuka so it’s unsurprising.

So, judging from the previews, next episode will cover both chapters 8 and 9 due to how short the content is in only one of them. I suspect the opening page from chapter 10 will show up as well as the comedic send off for the episode. That means we won’t have to wait 2 weeks for our lotion/ointment. Huzzah.
