Sure, there were a few flashbacks with her and Tear, but in no way was any romance between Van and her even mentioned. Asch does seem kind of whiny near the end, but I believe that it's because he knows he's going to die, so he's trying to prove to himself that his life was worth something and that he is who he truly is -- Luke. I'm glad we share the same sentiments on Natalia's predicament too. DX Legretta’s backstory was ass-pulled in the game too.
