@Jay: Asch's loyalty...it's something that only the plot can tell. In any case, Van has the skill of manipulating others to his will, like replica!Luke, so it really isn't that far of a stretch. Not to mention, Van needed the hyperresonance to do what he did in Akzeriuth -- the only two who can use it by themselves are Asch and Luke, so he probably needs to keep at least one of them with him in order to fulfill his plan. Of course, it still confuses me to this day why he keeps on alienating the both of them.

Asch's past was painful enough to get himself not only the first gaiden chapter of the manga, but also a spinoff manga of his own. XD;;

@miken-chan: Wow, everything explodes when you can't handle a fonon? Nice. As far as Van is concerned though, what loyalty could Asch possibly hold for him after everything that he's taken from him? Almost as weird as Van taking Asch in as a God General despite Asch's hatred.

Sorry for you comment spam. Shitsux.

@Vadigor: Heh, that was the joke. ^^;

I wrote a long comment, but the internet ate it... *sigh* I'll just rewrite one point I made.

The seventh fonon can be used for many different purposes. Healing is its most elementary job, but it can also deal massive damage depending on how its used. In addition, any person trying to use a fonon that their bodies cannot handle will create an explosion.

Well, a heads up: half of episode 14 has been timed, but the translator is currently taking exams.

The seventh fonon is the only one that can used for healing. However, it can also deal heavy damage as seen in later parts of the Yulia's fonic hymn. Also, my guess on Jade "going back to the way he was before" could mean he's becoming more cold and calculating. I can see him going overboard with experimenting, that's for sure. Still, I agree that it fits Dist more.

The people of Kimlasca seem to miss a lot of stuff and are usually spurred into action whenever some leading figure tells them to. Whereas Malkuth tends to keep itself together...needless to say I like Malkuth more. XD;;

The God Generals are more or less people who stand by Van at some degree of varying loyalty (barring Dist). At best they're business-like to one another.

Luke likes to swing from one extreme to another. It can be annoying, but it's better now than before.

(As for episode 14, the translator has exams, but half of the episode has been timed already)
