I go away for 6 days and when I come back I get... THIS.

...

I almost fooled you into thinking I was approaching this post from a negative standpoint, did I not? ;)

And I love how Cornelia's arm produces explosions that magically cause her to escape for no discernable reason.

Awesome! I get to comment back at these! Sorry guys, but right now I'm a child running through the candy forest who has to use the bathroom, so this is an exciting moment for me!

@ albert_2mb: I'm very glad you enjoyed it, despite the grammatical errors. Most of the time, I end up thinking of a word but typing in a completely different one that's only a few letters off, so expect that to become a staple for a bit while I improve myself. ;_;

@ Vadigor: We're co-authors! Awesome!

And yeah, most of the mecha references in here (especially in my Guren description) involve Gundam in some way. I never really compared Geass to Gundam that much until the Knightmare Frames had gained flight packs, but now I feel obligated to each time I see something that can be compared. The opening reference, however, doesn't come from mecha anime at all, and actually comes from a Square Enix RPG called Valkyrie Profile.

As for the series I'll be blogging...at the time I applied for AniAri, the only other series I had been doing was to-LOVE-ru, but the last 3 episodes were kinda dull and I didn't have a lot to say about it, let alone the fact that I have little to say about to-LOVE-ru episodes I've reviewed altogether besides trying to predict if they'll animate a certain arc from the manga. That said, I've decided to to to-LOVE-ru 21 as my first post here.

@ Maximillian: Aww, already someone doesn't like me? While I can agree with your first two points...

-On Geno and Kallen: With Geno doing the whole "Let's enjoy our battle," and Kallen's questioning of whether she should be sad or happy to be fighting him is what made me jump a bit. That's it, really.

-Gundam SEED Destiny comparisons: Could you tell that was a joke? I was throwing it out there for the sake of comparisons, even if it doesn't make sense. If you DID know it was a joke, and just didn't find it funny, then sorry, I guess you and I have different senses of humor.

@ Kabitzan: To be honest, I haven't watched much mecha series besides most of the Gundam series and Gurren Lagann, and I only vaguely remember Evangelion. Thus if you find me lacking in Nadesico or Ideon references, forgive me. ^^;

@ ItAintEazy: Hey...you're that...guy...o.o And bring on the flaming and non-constructive criticism, because if you do, I'll track you to GaijinSmash (as I swear I remember seeing your name there once) and make irrelevant insults to you there. ^^;

I really look forward to getting some feedback on the readers on my own entries, I’ve really enjoyed seeing all of your (sometimes humorous) responses to anime, and I can’t wait to see what you say about my own. Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!

Kochira koso, Jay. I'll be looking forward to flaming you mercilessly and, hopefully, without explanation or justification :)

Good overall, I guess, but not entirely...

"Of course, this was one of the only things that bothered me this episode, the reusing of the stock animation from the 1st OP"

It's not like there's tons of stock mecha footage in Geass though, so using a couple of shots from the OP once in a while is around a thousand times better than whatever Gundam SEED did.

"Well, then again this bothered me as well, but not production value wise, just the fact that once again Lelouch isn’t as fucking smart as he makes himself out to be. Everyone probably saw it a mile away that Rolo wasn’t going to actually go and get Nunnally back. More ranting about the same shit, with this just being decisive evidence."

Everyone being the audience...which isn't Lelouch, you mean.

I don't expect "fucking smart" characters to know about, say, things they didn't see or hear, like the actual reason why Rolo killed Shirley or why he would have anything against Nunnally.

"Especially since it seems like he and Kallen bonded for all of 3 episodes that featured them in short clips, and is destroying my LuluXKallen shipping (all my fanfics are worthless now!)."

What the...? Gino and Kallen had nothing beyond a nice chat (which they still disagreed about if you notice) and the fact that battle is something they both enjoy (well, duh), but how does that affect whatever chances (not that many, still, but not because of Gino) Kallen x Lelouch might have?

"Shinn and Lunamaria Lelouch and Kallen kiss in the apparent death of Meyrin Nunnally?"

Err...not quite? Whatever you were going for with this...

Quite a similar style to Shirukii indeed, albeit with more mecha references, all of which flew right over my head of course. xD

I look forward to reading more, do you have an idea what you'll be covering yet Jay?

Also, @Shirukii: remember to close your bold htmltags. =p
