Am I the only one that just doesn’t like Ranka’s character design? For god’s sake, her voice actress is hotter than the character. How often does that happen?

@ Death Grin: The more I think about it, the more that theory makes sense. Rather than wanting a direct competition, especially in regards to their career, perhaps Sheryl is acting as a mentor more than anything.

@ Calawain: Really? I thought the hydra fight scene looked alright, high stylized, yes, but the animation was smooth because of it.

@ PyrrhusOnline: You and me both, we’re way too used to see him in military attire for them to have suddenly thrown him at us in a Hawaiian shirt.

@ Crusader: I could see them touring together, but I’m having trouble seeing Sheryl retiring anytime soon, she’s very much at the top of her game still, why would she?

I loved how Sheryl just waltz past Miranda and started talking to Ranka like it was the natural thing to do.

@ Kabitzin: Oh real life girls aren’t THAT hard to read. Well…certain ones aren’t anyways.

Sheryl on the other hand is an enigma wrapped in a riddle wrapped in soft, supple skin.

Sheryl’s signals are just as hard to interpret as a RL female’s! I am just not sure exactly what she is getting at. I’m glad Ranka took charge, but I bet we will get more waffling as she continues to let Alto ignore her feelings.

Ranka’s star will soon rise, though I think for a while Sheryl and Ranka might be touring together a bit. Sheryl will probably retire as an idol, but remain a song writer by series end.

In any case Miranda got her just deserts! That makes me glad. I hope they use their two week break to fix up some animation so its not an eyesore the next time they air. It looks like Alto-hime will be having a birthday and from the look of things we might be getting a bit of hime’s childhood as well…

LOL nice episode. Well, there is an important line from Ozma “Is this fate? You’ve gotten the role as Dr. Mao…” If you know what he and I mean here, you should know who got the role as Older sister and you should know the result at the end. But I don’t think it is a clear result yet because it is just a reference from Macross Zero.

Oh Yeah!! the song “Aimo” is still the best one for my taste in this season.

Let the record show, I busted up laughing during the scene where Leon received information on the Vajra and Fighter from the unidentified person in that restaurant. All I could think of was “…and Friday will be Hawaiian shirt day…” from Office Space, knowing full well the way Leon normally acts.

Indeed it was an amazing episode. Unfortunate about the wait, but it seems worth it.
