Actually, they did tell us it was a prologue. At the end of each episode it said the next one was PROLOGUE 002.

But I agree that three episodes was a long one.

@Shirukii: Long 50 page chapters are long. And then we’ve got 6 volumes (20 chapters) of what’s effectively the first big arc of the story.

And that’s about where the scanlations end too. =D

@JohnCraven: I guess the “artist” would be the composer, Iwasaki Taku.

I’m hotly anticipating the OST.

@ Kabitzin: Lack of pants still makes it worth the extra dl, as lack of pants usually means an excess of pantsu.

@ Niu: I hope they don’t start adding anime original material in, as a general rule of thumb, fillers suck.

@ W4: Huh, looks like there are a lot more manga readers for Soul Eater than I thought. Did you guys start before the anime, or did you pick it up as a result of of it?

@ Siva: Oh, that’s just my personal hope, not fact, the series will go on for a minimum 51 episodes. I just find the longer shounens continue, the crappier they get.

I seriously doubt that in the opposite way, in fact, my fear is that is 52 episode just about enough to cover Medusa arc fully. Heck, even if they speed it up, there’s no way they can cover the BREW arc.
