I…can’t say I liked this episode. Not because of the scene pictured above, but rather because there was a lot of drama going on, but none of it pointed towards a resolution. There was no direction to the chaotic shuffling of relationships and feelings, like the wheels of the plot were just spinning in place. I thought that steps would be taken to solidify the Shin-Hiromi relationship, yet at the end of it all, no such resolution is in sight.

The Mugiha Festival is fast approaching and everyone is getting ready for it, the Nakagami household is taking on an increase of orders for sake and the final touches on the festival dance are coming together. In the chaos of it all, Shin hasn’t talked to Noe in over a week and despite his show of dedication towards Hiromi, they haven’t made much progress either.

Shin visits Hiromi at her apartment for breakfast when all of a sudden it begins to snow, Hiromi randomly notes she loves the sight of snow at the beach and suggests they go there now, running out before Shin has a chance to reply. As the two talk on the way there, reminiscence of his time with Noe run through Shin’s head, but his attention to the matter at hand is returned when Hiromi kisses him.

Meanwhile, Nobuse gets a call from Ai-chan as he wanders the streets, all ronery and sad. She tells him that they started way too fast, and asks him if he wants to start over again, as friends. Nobuse obviously agrees, vowing to one day be deserving of a sweater knit by her, Ai saying that she’ll improve her knitting skills for when that time comes.

The next day at school there’s an exhibition game between the girl’s basketball teams of Mugiha and Hotarugawa, Jun’s team. During the game, every single one of Hiromi’s drives is met with an intentional tripping foul from Hotarugawa’s team. The rumor that Jun has fallen for Hiromi must have spread through their school, Jun interrupts the game, walks onto the court and scolds the girls for playing such dirty tricks. Seeing this, Shin, who had been watching the game, leaves the gym. Outside, he runs into Nobuse, who tells Shin to pass on a message to Noe: she didn’t curse him properly, and with that leaves to go to Ai-chan’s.

When he gets home that night, Shin goes into Hiromi’s old room, thinking about his promise to Hiromi about taking care of things properly and realizes what a load of bs it was, he hasn’t done anything properly for anyone.

Elsewhere, Hiromi has just finished taking a bath when she gets a call from Tomoyo, telling her that the captain got a formal apology from Hotarugawa and voicing her envy over Jun’s display on the court, all for Hiromi’s sake. Immediately afterwards, Hiromi gets a call from none other than Jun himself, personally apologizing for what happened and asking to meet.

Before that, Hiromi makes a stop over at Shin’s house to deliver a message to his mom, who then asks her to take Shin’s laundry up to his room. With Shin not in his room at the time, Hiromi drops off his laundry and then notices his picture book, titled Raigomaru and Jibeta’s Story and has a quick peek at it, quickly putting it back when she hears Shin coming. Shin tells Hiromi that he saw her match yesterday, but before he can ask about Jun, Hiromi brushes him off and walks out.

Jun and Hiromi meet up in the park where Jun once again apologizes, saying he wanted to do so in person. Hiromi thanks him for what he did for her, and tries to cut their conversation there. Jun tells her not to be so hasty and invites her out to get something to drink, Hiromi bluntly tells him that they should stop seeing and contacting each other, as they might get others involved again. Jun continues to persist, so Hiromi puts it out in the open, the one he likes isn’t her, he’s only cared about one person and he’s a fool for not admitting that. As she walks off, Shin spots her crossing the road but stops himself from calling her out after he sees Jun.

That night, Jun calls Hiromi again, but this time pleading for help, Noe hasn’t come home yet. Hiromi contacts Shin, who was just thinking about Noe and wanting to show her his picture book, he doesn’t hesitate in running out to find her. Heading to the school’s chicken coop first, he finds Noe’s coat inside and Jibeta missing. Noe laments her inability to understand Shin’s feelings and the painful things in the world, wondering if it would be better to just fly away from them all. Making her way to the shore with Jibeta in tow, Noe admits to herself that the one in Shin’s heart is Yuasa Hiromi. Shin catches up to her as she reaches the beach, and…cliffhanger D=

Thoughts

A ton of things happened in this episode, yet offered no indication of direction. In the opening minutes of the show Hiromi makes a bold statement by kissing Shin, yet it doesn’t really lead them anywhere. Later, she cuts off her ties with Jun, only to be disappointed by Shin running off without a second thought to find Noe once she mentions she’s missing. What’s going on?!

When I saw Hiromi casually kiss Shin on the beach and neither of them showing a strong reaction to it, I figured that there had been some significant development between the two over the week long time skip. Yet, despite acting casually about it, almost like they were officially dating, that seems far from the case. At that point Hiromi had yet to cut things off with Jun and Shin hasn’t sorted things out with Noe. And then the scene where Hiromi brings up Shin’s laundry happens, and I’m reminded all over again why Hiromi makes me RAGE every now and then. Sure Shin was about to bring up a potentially awkward topic, but the way she avoided stupid, I understand she wants to end things once and for all between Jun and herself before facing Shin, and she could have simply told him that, that she was in the process of sorting things out. But noooo, she essentially tells him to STFU and walks out without making eye contact.

But I have to hand it to her, the determination she’s showing in her attempt to get rid of Jun is impressive. Minimizing the conversation time and putting her feelings on their relationship out in the open, even bringing out the siscon card to stop his charms dead, I almost felt sorry for Jun, he got his ass handed to him in that exchange of words. Though, admittedly, I’m disappointed Hiromi’s line was used on Jun.

Alright, I know this isn’t really pertinent to any discussion, but I still lol every time we get random Hiromi fanservice scenes. They’re pretty much the only ‘useless’ scenes in all of True Tears, which otherwise makes effective use of its time. I guess PAWorks figured that a harem/romance show completely devoid of fanservice is blasphemous or something.

As for Noe…I can’t really put up much of a defense here. She’s lost it. I don’t mean the race for Shin’s heart, she’s just plain lost it, she’s crazy. Last week I think I said that she wasn’t heavily emotionally vested in her relationship with Shin, it looks like I was way off on that one. It seems her first bout with romance has left her mind in disarray, her admission that she’s lost Shin to Hiromi amidst her usually cheerful song was painful to watch. The preview shows her holding Jibeta up over the sea, who frantically flaps his wings, I’m guessing Shin will stop her before she kills the poor chicken, what happens between them after that is anyone’s guess and will probably dictate how True Tears ends.

Speaking of Jibeta, it’s interesting how Shin’s novel shifted focus to him from Raigomaru. We’ve established that Raigomaru is applicable as an analogy for any of the six main characters, each with their own desire to fly and different approach in dealing with it. But who’s Jibeta? Who will try to fly only to crash and burn? Noe’s first attempt at love failed, as did Jun’s attempt to forget about her. Shin’s love life is in disarray and Hiromi is in the process of flapping her wings as hard as she can.

As for Aiko and Nobuse…*facepalm*

I can’t believe they’re getting back together. Forget them veiling it as friendship, that was a romantic reunion, no matter how you look at it. Damnit Ai-chan, I thought you were over and done with it, I respected you for that! Irregardless of the fact that Aiko may have developed genuine feelings for Nobuse, or is in the process of doing so, I can’t think of it as anything but a cop out.

And so with that, my ranking shifts to Noe > Hiromi > Aiko.

Ai-chan going back on her resolution to end things with Nobuse annoys me that much.

Again, despite a mere two episodes remaining, I’m not calling a definite end yet. A Hiromi end was the most likely from the outset and looked like the conclusion following last episode’s ending with her and Shin’s insert song. But I won’t make the mistake of writing it in stone, there’s still plenty of time for Noe to rise above, or even for things to completely fall apart and leave Shin alone, possible but not likely. I’m also intrigued by the fact that Shin and Hiromi kissed, and so anti-climatically. Generally, kissing the male lead before the last episode in these types of shows isn’t a good sign, we all know how that went for Ai-chan.

So we’re left with another cliffhanger end and another week long wait. Fun.

Glasses ftw, second time this week

I totally did not understand why Hiromi kissed Shin’ichiro. That and the last scene of episode 10 aside, she has done nothing but blow him off. And yeah, we know she likes him, but she’s not holding back because she’s in a relationship with Jun (otherwise, she wouldn’t have kissed him…). Why has she not confessed anything? In the words of a Shoujo Sect character, “this happened in the wrong order!”

You’d think that she would say something meaningful to him at some point, uh, before randomly kissing him and then ignoring him for a few days.

    My Hiromi

Poor Noe, too bad there’s no time for some yangire D:

Yes, the part where she was hugging the chicken was so cute;yet it’s so sad. Noe needs to be petted on the head; too much trauma and heartbreak for someone so naive.

Holy, I might jump ship after this episode. The loving Hiromi is so boring, not as victorious as I thought it would be. Mostly because of Shin’s idiotic actions and reactions to her open-ness. I hate jealous, angry girls. Of course Shin would go looking for Noe, this is ef-tale of memories all over again. =w=” And the lipstick in the preview! Gah, this kills my support for Hiromi by 40%.
But, kudos for her for gathering the strength to call Shin to have a climatic rendezvous rescue to Noe.

I give up on Ai-chan too.

    JIBETA’S GOING TO DIE D:

When I saw Noe standing on the edge of the seawall, I thought she was going to jump off, and then during the preview “Has she gone completely crazy? WTF is she doing with that chicken?”. Chickens aren’t meant to fly more than a few yards, and it really seems like Noe’s desperately trying to prove that they can fly high and away. I’m not fond of them, but I did feel bad for Jibeta at that moment. It almost looks like she’s sacrificing him to the sea god or something.

    >>”STFU ”
    o_O

    >>”She’s lost it. I don’t mean the race for Shin’s heart, she’s just plain lost it, she’s crazy.”

They can’t fool me with this. I only believe what i feel.

@Shirukii: Ok, now i come to collect my bet.

    >>”@ Siva: But I don’t see the sense in Hiromi saying that to Jun, they both know full well that Jun doesn’t have any feelings for Hiromi.”

    >>”@ Siva: Oh, well if that were the case, he’s pretty screwed, since Ai-chan won’t ever truly love him.”
and the prediction i made about Ai X Shin end in episode 11 is hitting the mark :D

So what do you have to say here buddy?

@lolikitsune: If you can understand any girls in True Tears then that would be impossible.

    >>If you can understand any girls in True Tears then that would be impossible.

    Ahhh, that’s true, isn’t it :P

By the way my previous comment was cut off; I was trying to say that my Hiromi love was diminishing. I forgot to use an HTML entity for my less than sign. Ah well. Fail2edit.

    >>Ok, now i come to collect my bet.

Silky-chan, it’s over; you need to hand over your only remaining possession—your authorship on this blog—to Siva.

Welp, I guess that the only thing that will break the Noe > Hiromi impasse is Show ▼

**Rant —– I was really disappointed in eps 10 because of the tired old use of the “boy runs after girl leaving” s- o generic and over done. Now in eps 11 we have the “girl in peril” route with Noe at waters edge. — end rant***

Well the thing between the 3 girls and Shin is not going anywhere that I would have expected

Aiko, who was my favorite in the beginning, has spun a 360 (or more closer to a 720)

Hiromi is all over the map, a total cypher - I have no clue what she is up too. She is a complex character but, I don’t like her at all..

And, Shin still has his head up his arrs… and the way things are going we will need a 50 eps show for him to dig it out.

Noe, (the only one staying on the same track) seems to have gone over the edge.

The one win for me is that Shin’s mom reconciliation with Hiromi came through. Maybe its the mother’s turn to kick someone in the butt to wake them up..

  8. on 16 Mar 2008 at 5:27 pmKanon_fan82

Were we all watching the same episode?????

I thought this installment was one of the best so far :)……

Hiromi is not as confusing as u make her out to be……..she’s certainly changed since moving out, and is much more forward about her feelings towards Shin……

and wouldn’t it freak you out if your bf/gf was forced to go out looking for his/her ex and essentially save them??? I would be……not because I’m the jealous type…..but people’s emotions tend to get confused when someone is in danger…..that’s why–for instance–a lot of people find it hard to break up with someone who is borderline suicidal…….

Granted Hiromi wouldn’t neccesarily know that Noe was about to sacrifice Jibeta to the gods, but I can understand the general anxst……

Speaking of which, the song playing in the background at the end of the ep. (Ichijin no Kaze) is wicked-awesome :D

    Hiromi glasses=love!

    Show ▼

  10. on 16 Mar 2008 at 5:38 pmRoy Mustang

It looks like they’re setting up a Noe Reverse Harem ending. She certainly will have one of the most unique harems….generic male lead, her brother, and a dead chicken.

  11. on 16 Mar 2008 at 6:06 pmW4

So on one end of the spectrum, we have shows like “Dragonball Z,” where relatively quick events are stretched out over several (hundred) episodes (”Episode 397: Goku scratches his left nostril! Episode 398: Goku scratches his right nostril!”).

On the other end of the spectrum, we have “True Tears.” Shin’s after Hiromi. Noe’s after Shin. Ai’s after shin. Jun’s after Noe (!!). Shin dates Noe. Jun dates Hiromi. Ai kisses Shin. Shin rejects Ai. Shin chases after Hiromi. They kiss. Then they give each other the cold shoulder. And by the way, Hiromi dumps Jun and Noe feels like chicken tonight. What the heck?!? At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised to have Shin’s dad tell Hiromi, “My bad. You really *are* my kid,” and have Nobuse fighting a demon with only a pack of Mentos.

Shin gets props for saying in canon what I’ve been saying in comments: he’s done squat for everyone. And whereas we’re all eyeing Noe for a straitjacket, consider this: Noe’s enacting the chicken snuff fic (!!) that Shin wrote. If you ask me… NoexShin FTP (For The Psychiatry).

…I can’t, for the life of me, see how they’re going to wrap up the series without some more WTF-worthy reversals.

Boxcutter. Cleaver. Taser. Knife. Saw. …chicken?

  12. on 16 Mar 2008 at 6:10 pmlolikitsune

    >>“My bad. You really *are* my kid,”

… “And I’m in love with you.”

  13. on 16 Mar 2008 at 6:10 pmShirukii

@ lolikit: My thoughts exactly, it’s as if the storyboard got mixed up and that scene was supposed to be in one of the later episodes. It came out of nowhere.

I have other possessions to relinquish before the authorship of AniAri, Siva can have one of my kidneys or something.

    >> “And I’m in love with you.”

FUCK NO! YOU ARE THE WORST INCEST ENDING EVER! D=

@ Kaelyn: Nooo, Noe must not go yandere, she’s too innocent! I could see Hiromi doing it, but never Noe.

Jibeta won’t die, Shin shall protect him!

To your last question: Show ▼

@ Aurelia: I believe the record for chicken flight is something like 90 meters, so…yea, Jibeta’s not going anywhere. I hope Noe doesn’t seriously think he’ll fly off into the horizon.

    @ Siva: Yea…I guess that’s what I get for making predictions ;_;

I seriously did not think that Hiromi’s feelings for Jun would need to be voiced out loud though. It was plain as day that they never had feelings for each other.

@ ItAintEazy: I’d lose all respect for the series if they did that, sure it would be an amazing twist, but there’s nothing to suggest that it would go that path.

@ Trunkmonkey: Taking your last point further, I wish they had explained that in more detail. Like, why Shin’s mom hated Hiromi in the first place. Given that she made up the lie about Hiromi being an illegitimate love child of her husband, why the animosity towards her?

@ Kanon_fan82: I understand, and would actually agree, except for one small detail. Shin and Hiromi are -not- dating. I thought they might have been after that beachside kiss, but no indication that they had formally started dating has been given as of yet. Now given that context, you can understand why we’re confused here, lol.

@ Roy Mustang: Then Noe gathers them all up along with Jibeta and tosses them off a cliff. BAD END.

@ W4: It’s plausible to believe that at this point they’re going for shock factor, which is cool and all, as long as they keep the bladed objects in the kitchen.

How would you go about fighting a demon with a pack of mentos anyways? I’m intrigued.

  14. on 16 Mar 2008 at 9:16 pmcjbdog

Usually a lurker, just one comment.

I don’t think it is such a sure win for Hiromi. When they were walking to the beach and Shin was thinking of Noe… it seems to me that he may like Noe more than he thought. With the book he’s writing and all, I would not be surprised if Noe wins in the end.

  15. on 16 Mar 2008 at 10:22 pmSiva

LOL don’t think you guys will get chicken soup in the next episode, I think it is impossible.

@Shirukii: Do you want to hear the rest of my prediction which i made it up around episode 6.
After i figure out something i decide to make a prediction that Ai-chan would lose the battle around ep 11 and Hiromi and Noe will go the final battle in the last episode. I dont know how they will end with Noe but Hiromi will never win Shin.

I think they already confirmed at the end of ep 10 that Hiromi X Shin is far beyond impossible by just the feeling i got from the scene and the type of music they used.

The scene where Hiromi called Shin about Noe it is not like she care about Noe instead she was trying to test Shin out to see if Shin still have Noe in his mind. With the reaction she got after Shin run out to find Noe without ending the talk, It is feel like she is going to do anything to get Shin back. Since episode 1 I never feel like Hiromi is going to give up on Shin at all.

    ————————————————-
    >>“My bad. You really *are* my kid,”
    >> “And I’m in love with you.”

… “Will you married me, Hiromi?”

  16. on 16 Mar 2008 at 10:28 pmDreadPirateRyu

@Shirukii: It shouldn’t be that hard to take down a demon with a pack of mentos. From what I remember, mentos + fizzy drink (like diet coke) = massive amounts of foam really, really quickly. So you just get the demon to eat one of the many, many nearby vending machines, and shove the pack of mentos down its throat. Might be wise to scramble for some cover so you don’t get covered in demon guts though.

  17. on 16 Mar 2008 at 11:49 pmRJ

Interesting…my thoughts are lost on this episode. I really don’t know what to think…

Would it be that much of a stretch if all of a sudden things take another turn and it ends up being a Shin x Noe end? As you said, there was a lack of any revelation in this episode regarding Shin and Hiromi, despite the fact that they kissed. I was expecting that to happen in the last episode and have more meaning. The moment I dreamed of when deciding to the ship those two came and I don’t feel content at all…

Another thing, I still have no idea what happened to Hiromi and Shin’s parents that led to the drama arc that was the first 9 episodes of True Tears. I guess at this point it’s not relevant anymore, but it’d be interesting if knowing it would be a precursor of things to come…in like, 2 more episodes.

Well, next episode, as said, chicken killer Kaed-ahem, Noe, festival, Hiromi kimono fanservice, and such. And damn, a bunch of things will be ending this month eh? Not just this, but Clannad ends next week (minus the OVAs), and Shana Second should be done in early April. Shirukii, any ideas on what other series you’ll be blogging?

  18. on 17 Mar 2008 at 12:10 amKabitzin

    The truth is…

No one visits Aiko’s shop except Shinichiro and Miyokichi, and they are struggling to pay the rent.

Anyway, it was very interesting that Hiromi didn’t get the stiff-arm that Aiko got when she went for a kiss on Shinichiro. I think the Shinichiro x Noe relationship is done, but I applaud the writers for giving Noe fans false hope.

  19. on 17 Mar 2008 at 12:35 amShadowFang

Agreed, even though I still hope for Shinichirou x Noe ending, I sense a Shinichirou x Hiromi one. I don’t like jealous girls either, but I guess you can’t really blame Hiromi.

    It’s “anti-climatically.”

Adv. 1. climatically - with respect to climate; “they were used to a climatically different environment”

    Sorry, pet peeve ;)

    ~

One thing that interests me with the Raigomaru metaphor is that in the “real” True Tears world, Raigomaru has been dead a good while now…

So what does it mean for those who want to fly? Maybe they are all Jibetas.

  21. on 17 Mar 2008 at 9:53 amlolikitsune

@Derek—I think you forgot the correction in your correction… should be “anti-climactically” ;)

I have not, is it out?

  25. on 17 Mar 2008 at 11:05 amW4

    @Shirukii: You’re the one playing SSBB, and you’re asking me how to fight a demon with Mentos? Doesn’t SSBB have *toy guns* that KO opponents? ^_^;

And regarding shock: considering how jaded and/or warped the audience tends to be (please refer to your blog’s comments about *chickencon*, for example), shock needs to be over-the-top to be shocking. Episode 11 of “H2O” and even “They Are My Noble Masters” were shocking (references to “School Days,” “Yu-Gi-Oh,” “Kimikiss Pure Rouge” and “Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei” in ONE EPISODE? Epic shout-out!). Consider this: what is Noe going to do to Shin (or perhaps Hiromi) to make him cry? Gratuitous stabbing is as valid an answer as anything else. >8D

It pains me to see how much Noe was affected by all this. It was unexpected, given her usual optimist outlook, but then again we can’t blame her, if that’s how much Shin really meant to him. I don’t think she’s completely lost it however. The last words she uttered, about how Hiromi is the one in Shinichirou’s heart, was a sign that she’s on the verge of accepting that painful fact.

She just undergone a really painful process of getting over all this hurt, to the point of being in a state of denial perhaps. She wanted to fly, and run away from all these problems… I believe that Noe will snap back to her senses next week. I’ll respect whatever Shin’s decision will be, whether to choose Hiromi or Noe, but if it’s the latter, I hope he really finds it in his heart that he loves her, and not simply choose her out of pity.

  28. on 17 Mar 2008 at 11:27 amKari

Ah crap I knew there would be no explaination for all the drama at the beginning with Shin’s mom. What the hell happened to cause all of that? Mya! I’ll probably never know. -_- Unless it’s explained before the damn show ends.

Noe or Hiromi…Hiromi is still my favorite, but does it make me heartless for not caring for what happens to Noe? I mean I had a brief glimmer of pity for her last episode, but I felt nothing this episode. Hm.
Anyways, this is gonna end in heartbreak for one of them. I mean, the violent part of me is like “okay, nice boat ending NAO!” but True Tears just doesn’t have that atmosphere. Ah well.

Fighting demons with a pack of mentos sounds like freaking awesome FUN! :D

  29. on 17 Mar 2008 at 2:11 pmKanon_fan82

    @ Shirukii:

I disagree I think they are “seeing each other”……while technically not dating, they are testing the waters……I was surprised that there wasn’t more of a reaction to the kiss…..but then I remembered that Hiromi tells Shin to lock the door behind him when they go out to the beach………..

Most apt. doors I know of don’t lock from the outside, errgo Shin has a key to Hiromi’s place……AND she breaks off things w/ Jun……

I think she is definitely justified in her fear that Shin will fall for Noe…….

  30. on 17 Mar 2008 at 5:31 pmShirukii

@ cjbdog: Less lurking, moar commenting! Don’t make me get a science vessel D=

My thoughts (or perhaps more accurately, my hopes) exactly.

@ Siva: Sure, feel free to theorize to your hearts content. I say it’s a bit of a stretch to say that Hiromi winning Shin is impossible, but I can definitely see it happening given how things are going. Both Ai and Hiromi have kissed Shin, that only leaves Noe, and she who gets the last kiss usually reigns victorious!

@ DreadPirateRyu: I think you’re overestimating the mentos diet coke chemical reaction a little much haha. At most it would just throw up…a lot. Nasty.

@ RJ: I’m so annoyed that they decided to throw the whole Hiromi vs Shin’s mom thing on the backburner, especially since it was the source of so much conflict.

Kaede ;_; I used to be an Asa fan, but my love for yandere grew and now I’m a Kaede supporter all the way! Plus she has the same birthday as me.

Uh…I don’t even know what’s airing, let alone what I’ll be blogging, lol. This season I didn’t do a preview, nor did I have any idea of what to expect, and it turned out alright, so I guess I’ll just do the same this time.

@ Kabitzin: I wonder if Ai runs the shop all alone, we’ve never seen her parents, have we?

And hey! It’s not false hope, it’s delayed victory. =D

@ ShadowFang: Again, I don’t mind a Hiromi ending, but I’d prefer a Noe one. I also have nothing against jealousy, it’s kinda cute actually, but I’d rather she be more vocal about it.

@ Derek: I noticed that while reading over, I was hoping no one else would…but uh, wait. You made the same mistake as I did, lol.

Jibeta actually flew, and failed, whatever the symbolism of that is. I don’t really understand the chicken metaphors anymore.

I’ve heard a couple tracks from the OST, not bad, though it’s missing full length Reflectia, which makes me sad.

@ lolikit: Ah, you beat me to correcting his correction of my mistake.

Whoa. What? HiromiXKanae? Spiteful lesbian sex, do want.

Also, good luck with your college applications! I look forward to the return of not dotq.

@ W4: I prefer the old fashion sword. Marth > all, cept maybe Fox.

Don’t forget the FSN reference in They Are my Noble Masters. Shinra-Seiba is love.

    No stabbing ;_;

@ usagijen: Agreed, the first time they “dated” Shin wasn’t really sure of his feelings, he thought he might have liked her, but more likely he was using her to distract himself from Hiromi. Noe deserves genuine love.

@ Kari: What =( No sympathy for Noe? Even thought she was strung along by Shin’s false feelings which were initiated by her brother then after developing feelings for him, coming to the painful realization that he might be in love with someone else ;_;?

    No boat zone!

@ Kanon_fan82: I see what you mean, though if that’s what they were trying to get at, I blame PAWorks for terrible scripting, as it did not seem like that way at all.

Also, I know plenty of places that lock automatically from the outside. I actually got locked out of my friend’s place just last week like that.

    >>I look forward to the return of not dotq.

I’m doing that too. It’ll allow me to drop my Aria posts on an anime blog, and free up some room in DotQ’s schedule for more Night Switch. :3

Is Shin shocked because Noe realized his feelings for Hiromi, or was he shocked because at that moment it wasn’t true? xD -hopelessly hoping for the latter- For the love of GOD, Shin had better have rewritten the ending to his story to show her. I’m seeing the story as a depiction of the two of them, so if he just watches Noe crash and burn (or watch Noe make Jibeta crash and burn), I will scream.

And LOL @ moving Aiko to last xDD

    > No stabbing ;_;

What… you think Marth’s sword *tickles*?

Hey hey Nobuse deserves a happy ending just as much as Noe deserves to cry tears of joy. now that Nobuse and Aiko are happy this can only mean one thing…the next two eps are going to be rough.

Well now that Hiromi has made clear that she is impressed, she ain’t in love with Jun Nii. Well Tomoyo has voiced that in the case of Jun she DOES WANT. ;)

Poor Noe…I hope Jibeta can help her smile again.

Yes, dead chickens seem to do that for her.

This show just keeps you guessing all the way to the end, that’s why I love it.

So glad they decided to mix things up instead of just telegraphing the ending all the way to the end.

Still betting on a Hiromi end, but my hope is rekindled for sweet Noe.

    AND YAY AI-CHAN!
