Never actually read or heard of Appleseed before. From the preview on the website, it seems to have much better CG than Vexille – 2077 Nippon Sakoku.

I’ve never actually seen or read the original Appleseed, although I heard from a friend years back that it was really good. So is this a sequel? A new section of story that is just in the same universe? Not really sure, but the CG sure is pretty!

Well, Appleseed was the first manga I ever read. And either the first or second anime (the other being BGC).
