Alright, first of all yes you bring up a good point. But then again, you miss understood the entire intention of the anime in the first place.

1) Only someone with extremely anal views of the world would even bother writing something about cartoon girls and their underwear. Thats like complaining that Sonic the Hedgehog doesn’t wear pants. Seriously.

2) It’s all in good fun, and besides the fan service it’s just supposed to be a reoccurring thing with in the show that is supposed to represent how childish even adults and teenagers can be.

3) You can take into careful consideration that this is in fact a little closer to reality then most other anime. Think about it, if girls were actually dressing up and jumping about like this, we’d see their panties a lot too. The way I see it, the creator was simply being accurate unlike some of those guys/girls who in their anime and manga have a girl hanging off a cliff with wind blowing, yet their skirt never leaves their asses.

I for one am all for anime that gets rid of some of those stupid “OMG! If I keep it at this angle, I need to use some weird physics plan to hide thier underwear!” rules. Doing that is simply someones way of censoring something that really doesn’t need to be censored. As long as the proper warnings are given before the show starts, just sit back and enjoy the anime.
People with problems like this are the reason that by the time anime gets to America and Canada; and I’m going o use Dragonball Z as an example, the plot and storyline is twisted around so much that you can hardly call it a work from the creator. In Dragonball Z, the american version, a guy can have a hole blasted in his chest and he’ll never cough up blood or bleed well he’s on the ground. This coming from a nation that gives everyone the right to carry a gun… ironic.
The japnese version, you might as well just make the Saw movies into a fucking cartoon.

Catch my drift? Seriously guys, underwear never hurt anyone, especially cartoon underwear.

Yeah…imo the manga was so much better. It may be pretty heavy on pantyshot too, but at least the plot felt somewhat interesting. It’s much darker than the anime and the characters and the whole conspiracy within the school is looked at more in-depth. Overall, i think watching the anime would ruin the standard that the manga set for me (which was, surprising to some of you no doubt, extremely good).

I read the manga then watched the anime. I loved both. I noticed that some things were different in the anime as is the case with all manga to anime conversions. But the thing is, its an anime with a deep underlying tone about things, that can be strangely philosophically viewed. If you can get past panty shots. The Anime is amazing. I happen to think though the panty shots are tastefully done. And the fights get hella good later through the series as well as the manga. The story line gets very complex as well. This is definantly a series to watch. I’ve read every chapter of the second season manga coming out thus far as soon as it comes out. I’m sorry Shirukii but in this anime. Your dead wrong in my opinion. This is an excellent story well portrayed and well thought out.

for the record on the topic of Rosario+Vampire….the manga was just as bad..no wait, it actually got a little worse..

And as for the plot, its actually really good, you just have to..bear with it a little but…though the plot seems to be different to an extent, its there and slowly deepens with a lot of serious tones, like the idea of humanity in general

Fanservice is out there, but if you bear with it, theres a good plot, good characters and good development
