2K GET!

Yet another blogging landmark broken, we’ve reached 2000 comments on this tiny, seemingly insignificant piece of the intarwebs.

Compared to the 10 months that it took to rack up the first thousand comments, the jump from 1000 to 2000 took a relatively short month and a half, which makes me happy in the pants.

Thanks to everyone who contributed, whether you’re a regular commenter or a lurker who came out of hiding on that one odd occasion. Seeing discussion fly back and forth is a major factor in my motivation to keep posting, so in essence, you’re the ones keeping this blog alive!

The 2000th comment went to Totali from Subculture Anime Blog on my Claymore 20 post. Like last time, I’ll mark the occasion by letting Totali request a post on a series/topic of his choice as long as its within the bounds of my writing.

    @ Totali: Whoa, that’s quite the comparison to draw, but sure, I’ll give it a shot. It might take a while to write though, I need to do a bit of research into the video game discussion/blogging community.

    @ Adun/Kabitzin: Thanks! Though I’m sure there are many other blogs that break it much faster than we did.

    Congrats on 2000 comments! Lots of regular comments is definitely a good sign of a blog that’s active and fun to read, because it’s no longer just a monologue, it’s a group discussion with everyone throwing in their 2 cents.

    Hopefully you’ll be able to break the 3K mark even faster. :D

    Oh no, I think you misunderstood me. I meant to compare “gaming” and “anime/anime blogging”. Like….if I was a part of a WoW guild, rts clan, fps team, etc….how does that relate to being a part of the anime blogging community…….or how is enjoying anime related to enjoying gaming, but that might be a stretch. I just came up with this at random, so I think you’re making it more difficult than I meant xD.

    and I just realized that I didn’t even congratulate you on 2000 comments in my last comment so….grats!!!

    Congrats on the 2000th comment, getting a lot from School Days and Claymore I notice. Goes to show you how popular your blog is with that short a time difference from the 1000th comment. Congrats again and to the 2000th commenter, though I wouldn’t know personally what to request a post on lol…makes me a bit glad I wasn’t # 2000 ^-^.

    This blog wasnt that really that active when i join it the first time where sola is around ep 8, but after Sola and Claymore get into the point of interesting and ppl keep discussing about it thats y this blog able to come to this point.

    It is good to hear about this news. I wish u can keep up ur goodjob for everyone in here, Shirukii.

    @ 0rion: Indeed, it’s great seeing things lively and discussion fly back and forth.

    @ Totali: Hmm…so the mechanics of gaming as they relate to anime/anime blogging. Sure, sounds reasonable enough. Though it might be a bit of a short post if I leave it at that, so I’ll do some basic comparisons of the two communities as well.

    @ AS: I would never force someone to request a post haha, if the person who gets the coveted comment didn’t want anything in return, that’s fine by me.

    @ ItAintEazy: Thanks! I see you’ve been more active in commenting lately XD

    @ Danny: Haha, indeed. But this coming from a blogger with more than twice the amount of comments =P

    @ Siva: Claymore and Sola along with School Days are definitely the most discussed series on this blog, there’s so much to say about them that the discussions end up going on for quite a while.
