For me i didnt see that Ichijo is thinking of those 2 as her friends yet even she already give up on letting Otoha call her by her name. I feel like she has no intention of making friend at all but somehow Otoha is going to changed her soon or later. what I am thinking is that Ichijo only has one goal right now that she has to defeated that unknown girl from the first ep. 7.5 for this ep is not that bad for it and it wasn’t go beyond what i hope for. And the next ep is going to be Karen’s ep and after that i would say the beginning of action is getting start.

I am sure that u r not a mecha fan because for u to never tried these Gundam or Eureka Seven. And i am not a big fan of mecha but i have seen many famous mecha series so far even the famous Gundam serie, Gundam Seed but i will tell u the reason y i pick Heroic Age, before i didnt know anything about Heroic Age at all and i picked it because of its ending song after i listened to its ending song then i listed to my list but i havent watch it yet for about 3 weeks because i know it is a mecha series but this Friday when i downloaded another special ending song from Heroic Age ep 15 and i was like Wow and i asked myself, “do i have to wait any longer?” (i am so funny and stupid right?)
For its first ep it was go beyond my expectation, instead of introduce character one by one or training arc, it introduces the story and ready for action, i dont want to say anything that much about the series because i only watch 2 eps so far and i really hate myself that i cant marathon it for 15 eps in 1 days because i have to work 7 days a week and this is the reason y i am so getting behind right now.

@ Danny: It is looking that way. I’m still more of an Ichijo fan myself though =(

@ AS: I was also expecting the befriending by saving lives thing to come into play, but I thought Ichijo was going to be a little more resistive lol, she gave up pretty easily.

I agree on the Claymore point though, but with so many characters, it’s not like they have much choice haha.

@ Owen S: I haven’t noticed that yet o.O but I’ll be looking for it in later episodes now.

@ Siva: I know I’m sort of contradicting myself by saying this in a Sky Girls post, but I’m not that big of a mecha fan. I’m already watching two this season (Sky Girls & Gurren Lagann) and I don’t think I could take anymore =( I might go back and marathon Heroic Age one day though.

just finish watching, im kind of too slow, alway got behind. i have to work now, but i will be back at night and share my comment here. but i have one question for Shirukii, what is the reason u didnt pick Heroic Age? seiyū?

Is it me, or does the pedo afro guy look like Ichigo from Bleach at certain angles? It made me laugh quite some.

It’s always good to buildup to the main event, although it can be a bit boring at times. Slightly off topic, Claymore doesn’t seem to do that though except for character development. Claymore went the other way with showing background development in later episodes, but they don’t make it boring with all the action that happened in Clare’s past, especially Teresa’s fight with the other single digits. I guessed Otoha would gain Eika’s trust by doing something stupid that would result in rescuing a life, most likely Eika’s, as most trust between distant characters is gained through this method. I can’t wait to see all three girls in the air ^-^.
