The game can be almost exactly like the anime or /completely/ different, depending on how you play it. A number of the endings show Katsura in a pretty bad situation, including the events leading up to it. Those are the ones (along with the anime) that I really side with her. Course, I definitely think Makoto (in the anime and a number of the different paths Makoto can take in the game) isn’t worth it. And Sekai’s friends are a bunch of idiots for pressuring her in this episode. Anywho…

There was one path you could take (several alternate ways to get to it, though) in which Katsura ends up quite the evil little psycho she is behind such a placid and kawaii exterior. She takes snapshots and records her and Makoto getting it on then sends it to Sekai to brag, even though those same paths show Sekai hasn’t said or done a damn thing to her. Truth is, even Katsura isn’t a ‘mary sue’. All the characters are /very/ realistic: they all have the potential and ability to be both good and bad, showing just how mortal they truly are.

Anyways, this series was epic win. I think the manga was better though; Makoto wasn’t a thoughtless jerk in that. So I could sympathize with him more. Makes anyone wonder what they would do in a situation where two people like you… And if you pick one over the other, you would definitely end up destroying the other’s life. On the other hand, you just might endanger the girl you choose. XD If that ever happened, I might be forced to jump off a building like Katsura did in one ending of the game.

@ Kanon_fan82: I’m going to side with Katsura this time. While Sekai would make a far more ideal girlfriend for Makoto, shebeen doing nothing but getting in the way of his relationship thus far, despite having supposedly given up on him.

@ Kaelyn: Agreed, see above. I was shocked when I learned that Katsura got raped in one of the game’s route. Infinite sympathies to her ;_;

If you played the game, you would understand all this.

The producers of school days were especially mean to Katsura, meaning she was emotional scarred in the game. She suicided, she was raped , bullied senselessly, was used and abused.

All of that just because Sekai gave up hope in having a relationship with Makato, but then half-way decided to backstab her friend, and go to him. It’s completely unfair after she tried so hard to get them together. Kastura gets RAPED because of Sekai’s little on and off attempts.

Frankly, I am annoyed at how Sekai keeps interrupting Makato and Katsura’s relationship. She did what she could to get those two together, but she keeps damaging it by being nosy and by advising Makato even when things are going okay.

It’s only the 3rd episode but I gotta say it…….Banzai Sekai!!! Banzai!

I’ve been in her position (ie. liking a friend) way too many times not to sympathize lol ;)
