The chances of Nanatsuiro Drops developing an original, interesting plot are the roughly the chances of the new Evangelion remake recasting Asuka and Rei as a pair of grizzled 45-year old beat cops with nothing left to lose. Pretty much approaching zero.

Well, I’m not an avid watcher of mahou shoujo, but I understand that the early episodes of Nanoha are rather generic magical girl material. Girls gains powers from cute critter through some sort of talismen, must save the world often by either directly fighting evil or just happening upon it while collecting mystic artifacts. And while the dark magical girl is less common, it still had been done before Fate came on the scene.

I’d say give it a bit more time before comdemning it TOO much as a copy.

@ Owen S: As soon as I saw the ring, my Nanoha radar went off, then it exploded when the Feito clone showed up ;_;

@ Siva: Tokyo Toshokan is faster than baka-updates =P, by the way, avoid using angle brackets, they cut off comments because they are used in html tags.

@ AS: The first pic is from the h-game, I just couldn’t find a more suitable picture from the anime that wasn’t covered by text. I need to start learning Japanese so I can actually play all the visual novels out there =(

LOL @ Nanoha comparison. Just… LOL. I hope this doesn’t affect my viewing experience, should be watching it in a bit.
