@ Kanon_fan82: Kona-chan emulates the study habits that got me through high school...the same habits that owned me in my first year of university ._.

@ hashihime: I guess I prefer the "IN YOUR FACE. Now, laugh." approach to comedy, which Seto no Hanayome and Hayate take. LS is subtle in teh funny, it took me a while to find all the references, some of which I wouldn't have even noticed without translator notes (like the Mayumi reference).

But at least it's getting better, I have no idea how the director change will affect things though...

I really think it's partly a matter of getting used to the show's gentle, laid-back style of humor. Some of us found it funny from the first episode. For me, it is funnier than the excellent Hayate and far funnier than Hanayome.

But it's true that episode 4 is the funniest so far. I just hope that the directorial change will not change much artistically about this excellent show. Director Yamamoto wrote this particular episode. I'm hoping he will continue to write, storyboard and direct episodes, while the new overall director just handles the administrative end of things.

Even though this series is a bit too otaku for me to fully enjoy, Kona-chan's antics had me in stiches this week! :)......I can totally relate to her procrastination techniques :P......

Hopefully a change in director will lead to bigger and better things for Lucky Star :)
