Now, laugh." approach to comedy, which Seto no Hanayome and Hayate take. LS is subtle in teh funny, it took me a while to find all the references, some of which I wouldn't have even noticed without translator notes (like the Mayumi reference). Some of us found it funny from the first episode. For me, it is funnier than the excellent Hayate and far funnier than Hanayome. But it's true that episode 4 is the funniest so far. I just hope that the directorial change will not change much artistically about this excellent show. Director Yamamoto wrote this particular episode. I'm hoping he will continue to write, storyboard and direct episodes, while the new overall director just handles the administrative end of things.
