Touka Gettan, or Oedipus Complex ftl

And that does it for Touka Gettan.

WTF plot line and time skips? Fair Enough.
Androgynous “trap” male lead? Bearable.
Random yuri? Excellent.

But…

NO! Just…no.

I have my share of common anime complexes. Being a self proclaimed siscon (Nemu <3) and even a budding lolicon spurred by the wonders FeitoXNanoha yuri, among others. But this is too much!

Er…for the people who are confused, first of all, purple haired character = guy. And more disturbingly, that’s his mom he’s in bed with.

Granted, the show hasn’t revealed if they’re mother and son by blood, but at this point it doesn’t matter. For an Oedipus Complex leading to the actual bedding of the mother in question to come along and blindside me, I can take no more. It’s worsened by the fact that the scene served absolutely no purpose at all!

Anyways, I’m done with this show. Nonsensical plot aside, if this is what passes for fanservice, then I don’t dare continue.

    OMG!!?! WTH!!?! I watched the first episode & I instantly gave up. Luckily I didn’t continue following the series. Does that mean it can’t be categories as echhi anime anymore? It something more serious right?

    @ lolikit: Yes. Yes it does. Well, this episode did anyways. The other episodes were incomprehensible flashbacks/world shifting/schizophrenic hallucinations.

    @ BOZZ: Oh yes she did.

    @ Owen S: I’m not sure if it’s based off an h-game, but I know the show was originally supposed to be a hentai OVA, but they somehow adapted it to a “normal” series.

    @ Brian Woon: Smart move. The show itself isn’t really ecchi, there are a few fanservice scenes but it’s not like Nagasarete Airantou. It was just this one particular scene where they went all out, and for no foreseeable reason…which is why I’m left saddened and confused T_T

    Ok I know that the purple hair is a guy but his face looks like a girl. I know this is a seqal of a h game called Moonlight but I still will still watching the show period. This was the only scene in the episode that pushed the envelope. LOL! This is why japan have better animations than the rest of the world.

    @ BOZZ: Actually, it made me laugh too, I’m just being overly dramatic about this. But I finally found a complex which I find the slightest bit disturbing, I have to milk this for all it’s worth.

    Okay, so I downloaded eps 1-3 and they could barely play on my machine. So I trashed them.

    But then I was like, “hot trap sex!!!” and retrieved episode 3.

    I managed to get it to play after quitting every single process on my poor laptop. And I know now why that scene is there, and I don’t see why you have a problem with it, Shirukii-chan.

    It’s fucking hot.

    Except with a bit of comedy to it.

    Well i heard somewhere that the plot is occuring in reverse order or something along those lines, seems interesting and itll probably create some sorta reaction later along the lines of “OH so thats wats going on…SUGE!” or something along those lines….hopefully. So till then im gonna keep watching till my brain cant take anymore confusion

    Yea, I read that theory on the a-suki forums, sounds interesting enough. But the problem is that in order to fully appreciate the story, you’d have to go back and watch it again. Even if it turns out to be OMGWTFawesome, I doubt I’d be able to do it again XD

    Though, if it really is THAT good, let me know when it finishes, if I’m bored enough, I’ll give it another shot.

    Before judging it, you should watch the whole thing.

    I think it’s almost all out now on subs. It’s actually a very pretty and complexing story, save for a few scene some may be disturbed by, also…

    The first episode is the last, so if it confuses you, watch the last episode towards the first.

    I’m glad it has a happy ending.

    @ Bubblegum: Yea, I heard that it was aired in reverse order, which in my opinion is kind of retarded. But once all the subs are out and I have some spare time, I think I will go through the whole thing…backwards, or forwards, or whatever.

    This was based of a H game, and there is no sex in the anime as of yet. I honestly don’t belive its retarded. I belive the backwards aspect of the show is a complete and utter mindfuck, and that is what makes it so damn great.

    Also, it isn’t clarified if he even HAD sex with his mother or not. Hell, his mother has split persona’s, it may be one of them.

    And, we don’t know if that is his mother by blood

    I belive that you should watch more than 3 damn episodes before judging a series. And, I am not surpised this was even IN there, concidering it IS based of an H-game.

    I had watched the episode 26 and 25… ( I followed the recommendation to watch it in reverse, i don’t want to confuse myself.. hehe i do a lot of research first before watching an anime when i stumble on this blog.. I love the illustrations and character designs ^_^ ). 1st of all she’s not his mother, .. no blood relation whatsoever, i think that she was just like 10~15 yrs older than him…from how the story begins he just came from a Japanese doll and his soul was being transfered from one body to another.. ahaha just wanted to share that…
