I just found this website (NOT the series).. and i’m glad there’s someone who knows about wether Ueno actually plays the piano in nodame.

I have watched this series too many times to remember.. this series is the trigger for my classic music liking

I’m from Thailand, I just watched the series from Thai chanel, It’s really touching !!!

Now, I love classical music, Rachmaninov, especially.

I think this touching story is too short, but it’s ok, not like the boring Korean series.

And I praise for th cool beauty of Kiyora and the cute look of Mine.

I think there have to be some story about this odd coupple.

Ive also been on a great jdorama hunt lately and i assure you Proposal daisakusen and Queen’s Classroom will blow you out fo your minds.

didn’t agree with everything you said about the characters, and i think it was good that there wasn’t any real obvious sign of affection from chiaki to nodame, but other than that, i think this is a really good review! you write really well! :)

oh, and re streseman and viera, perhaps it was because chiaki would’ve been more motivated to overcome his fear of airplanes, if there was no way he could meet viera in japan?

That’s because, FYI, Tamaki doesnt know how to play the piano, whereas Juri Uneo has been playing it since she was young. The only thing Tamaki learned for nodame was the conducting movements. :-)

This is definitely a great drama. i suggest you also watch and review Hana Kimi (Japanese version)

Btw, the taxi-hug-ore-same by the shore moment was 109% dang fine!

I haven’t finished it yet…but it is an excellent series! Ueno portrayed a pianist beautifully, but Tamaki’s wasn’t as convincing. The camera never showed Tamaki and his hands at the same time when he played. The orchestra shots were beautiful. Mizukawa wasn’t too convincing, since her bow seemed to slide, rather than drag the strings, but I’ve seen others who aren’t as convincing (like Kou Shibasaki in Orange Days…great drama, look into it)…anyway, they were all in all very convincing.

The random bits of anime-esque moments was perfect. Part of what made this so entertaining. The exaggerated parts, especially whenever they showed that clip of the plane’s crash landing, was really funny. (did anyone else notice the wire on the front of the plane? I hope that was on purpose). And when they revealed the back story to that…wow, that was sad.

All the characters were amazing, but none were that realistic, apart from Mizukawa’s. They rest seemed very anime-ish.

I would definitely recommend this, even to people who don’t watch dramas.

THEY BETTER HAVE A SECOND SEASON.
Ending it there just builds things up. Plus, I don’t think
the author of the manga, Nodame Cantabile, did not end the series there. That’d be too short
:D

Will there be a season two for this drama? i mean I guess you could leave it here but then I kinda want to know if Chiaki and Noda’s relationship advances.
