The same mastermind behind God Knows and Lost My Music has released yet another guitar adaptation of an anime theme. This time it’s Cruel Angel’s Thesis, the OP from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

It’s a pretty good rendition of the song. The beginning and the end stay true to the original, he uses the bass to play the backing melody and the guitar to replace the vocal track.

I’m not so crazy about the impromptu solos and the useless pause in the middle of the song, but since the original song is really repetitive, something had to be thrown in.

In any case, enjoy! Youtube has most of his vids, he does a lot of Final Fantasy songs. Alternatively you can check out his site, it’s in japanese but has english headings so it’s not too hard to get around. It has most of his videos as well as some tabs and his blog.

Aside: I’m working on getting my “Needs more graphs” post back up. The first time it disappeared into thin air and the second time half of it was deleted and the links 404′d. I’ll try to have it back up by tonight.
