It’s been a long ride here at AniAri, from its humble beginnings on WordPress to its migration to animeblogger.net’s generous hosting and then its eventual growth into a site that has logged over 1.7 million unique visits. However, since then, activity has been rapidly declining. Attempts to revitalize the site with new authors fizzled out as over half of them just disappeared after posting a few times, only one stuck around, Jay.

After repeated attempts between the two of us to ramp up posting again, I’ve personally found that the old episodic summary format that was long followed here was sucking any motivation that I had write. However, I do enjoy writing and want to continue doing so, just not in the vein that this animeblogger site has established itself.

With that, Jay and I have started a new blog called My Blog Can’t Possibly be this Weeaboo which will allow us to be more diverse in the topics we cover, branching out from just anime to music, gaming and movies. So to the few stragglers left hanging around and any randoms who have stumbled in here, check us out.

Thank you to everyone who read our posts and participated in discussions, you guys (and gals) were always there, giving me the feedback that kept me writing, until I stopped. Hah. I’ll never forget those magical times discussing Death Note, True Tears, Claymore and School Days with comment counts soaring over the 50s.

A true siscon series too (twincest, no less), none of that wishy washy “we’re not blood related” nonsense. Among full length series, only Koi Kaze comes to mind as another anime that didn’t cop out in that regard.

Surprise update!

This season was an interesting one, going into it I expected series after series of shit, and while it’s hardly the return of the glory days, there was some entertaining stuff. I don’t know whether I’ll post on all of it, but I’ll keep going until my motivation to write leaves me as impetuously as it came.

I had computer problems again, so I haven’t written up any HOTD posts in favor of playing RE5 and Super Street Fighter 4.
